Children are a blessing. But this doesn’t take away the fact that parenting can be a tough feat. And there are additional challenges for parents raising a child with Special Needs.

Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental conditions often struggle with sensory overload, which can frequently trigger anxiety and meltdowns.

Caring for a child with Special Needs requires the right knowledge, mindset, tools, and support systems to nurture a fulfilling journey. For this reason, Reecio was formed bearing a mission to support and comfort every child struggling with sensory overload, and their family, with a
careful selection of products.

Reecio was formed by two sisters. One is a single parent of Rhys…a little boy with ASD . The other has been an integral support person since her nephew was two months old. Drawing on their own experiences, the sisters looked for ways in which to support a child with Special Needs, cope with some of the daily challenges.

The brand was inspired by and named after Rhys, a very happy child, with a wide smile.. From the Latin word Risio—meaning smiles, laugh, laughter—our brand Reecio was born.

We at Reecio are dedicated to providing products that are carefully selected for children struggling with sensory overload. Each one is designed to help kids seek the feeling of safety and comfort, when faced with an unfamiliar or overwhelming environment.

Reecio also recognizes the vital importance of Early Intervention Therapy for children with Special Needs. So as part of our commitment to contributing to our community, we are proud to pledge 2% of proceeds to AEIOU Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing intensive Early Intervention Therapy programs to young children with ASD.
